The principal tributaries of River Tapti are Purna, Girna & Panzara. The important tributaries of River Godavari are Indravati River, Pranahita (Combination of Penuganga and Warda), Manjira, Bindusara and Sabari. The principal tributaries of River Krishna areTungabhadra, Koyna, Bhima, Mallaprabha, Ghataprabha, Yerla, Warna, Dindi, Musi and Dudhganga. The principal tributaries of River Kaveri are Shimsha, Hemavati River, Arkavathy, Kapila, Honnuhole, Lakshmana Tirtha, Kabini, Lokapavani, Bhavani, Noyyal and Famous Amaravati. The two tributaries of River Chenab are Chandra & Bhaga.
