of course for electric guitars I suggest GHS Boomers or D'Addario they last very long periods of time and everything. Any guitar you can put strings on it comes down to.
randy used ghs boomers and the gauge were 11s
if you can go with something like GHS Boomers or D'Addario or one of the name brands because all strings fit all guitars as long as their for electrics. regular 10-46 if you're playing rock , 12-52 if you want to play metal in lower tunings. They might even be cheaper than first act.
the heavier the more durable , I hated walking to the guitar store because it was about an hours walk. So I picked up a set of 13-56 strings and they lasted twice as long and that's all I play now. You can still play standard but its really difficult. So try different brands and see if they last longer if its too hard. stay away from Fender Super Bullets, Dean Markley Blue Steel and I had a bad experience with Not even slinky Ernie Ball.. so GHS or D'Addario over anything.
Aquila is a string maker, like D'Addario, Martin, GHS and dozens of smaller companies. The standard for many people are the Aquila Nylgut strings, a nylon polycarbonate string with a flat finish.
