Easy! If you listen to Freak on A leash they either scratch the strings with a pick while it's connected to an amp! The also MIGHT use computers to easily morph the sound! Korn also use a lot of pinch harmonics and other techniques used while playing metal. But they suck. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i think the weired sound you mean (the one that sorta sounds like water) is produced with a chorus pedal set the rate between 80 and 100 and the depth to 60 -70
on either a clean sound or a dirty channel with the gain turned all the way down
Korn aren't for me but they don't suck! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ok nobody asked an opinion of what you think of kOrN, they asked how certain sounds were made by the guitar players in the band. Anyway, there are alot of korn albums and songs, so to generalize it, most of the wierd sounds and little subtle noises they make that are actually done on the guitar are a combination of the effects they are using and the notes that are being played. Sometimes, however, it is a combination of two different guitar parts or track playing at the same time that produces a strange or abstract sounding effect, due to the sound waves cancelling certain frequencies out. You can't nail every wierd sound they've made with one technique or effect. Sometimes it is a chorus or phase pedal and other times it can be a wah or vibrato pedal, and sometimes they are moving the tremolo bridge on the guitar in certain ways that produce wierd sounds. Now, if you are looking to figure out one sound in particular from a certain song they do, just name it and I will do my best to figure out what is actually happening. ------------------------------------------------------------ my...... aren't you a wanker
