remove the four face plate screws and remove the face plate. Then slide the special removal tools in each side of the radio and it will slide right out, or if you are like me and don't have the special tools, bust it up and take it out in pieces AAAGGGGGGGGG Thats what i did was destroy that stock radio and rip it out like the Mayans used to do with hearts... it was AWESOME!!
There is a "tool" for Ford vehicles avaialble at any McParts shop that is nothing but a correc sized wire, bent in a horseshoe shape that one inserts in two holes on each side of the unit to release it. Then you pull the unit out. You could do the same thing with four pieces of very thin metal maybe some really small finish nails too. But the "tool" was only a couple of bucks so I bought one.
it depends on the year, but the most likely case is that you need a set of removal keys which you can buy at Walmart for a few bucks. You press the keys deep into the holes, then pull the one on the left out to the left and the one on the right out to the right (away from each other) and pull outward. It may take a few tries but when you get it right, it should slide out pretty easy.
Do yourself a favor. If you are planning to install an aftermarket radio, buy yourself a radio wiring hardness that will fit into the factory wiring hardness. It will cost under $20.00. And it will save you lost of headaches in the future. No Electrical Short or Headache...

Remove Stock Ford Radio
Tools Needed
To remove the radio you will need a "Radio Removal Tool". This is a "U" shaped pin with a dent at the end. This can be commonly found at auto parts stores or, Wal-Mart, etc (widely available for $3-$4).
Steps To Remove the Stock RadioThe radio has two holes in each end (four holes total)
* Insert the removal tool into the holes on each side (This will release the catches holding the radio into the dash)
* Slide the radio toward you
Other ReferencesCheck Related Links below gives instructions for radio removal and includes photos
You can also make your own removing tool from a wire coat hanger: cut 2 U-shaped pieces (about 8" each) and insert them into the 2 holes in the front of your head unit; using a sideways motion and pulling towards you will do the trick, just be careful when inserting the tool to not scratch the finish on the unit.
I tried the wire hangar solution but went and bought the tool anyway. Either would probably work, but the tool is a bit more sturdy / stiff. Here are the instructions that come with the tool:

hi there, take the car to your ford dealer he can remove the radio to get the serial number off it then he will chech with ford motor company for the code.....
Claw it out with your nails...hehe...jusy kidding...Is the radio built in or superficial? If it's built in, there's not much you can actually do. But if it is superficial, then if you slide something under the edges, you can pry it up.
One does not simply take the radio out of a 1999 c230 kompressor.
You will need to get the code from your nearest Ford dealer - for that, you need the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the engine number! Go to the parts department desk at your dealer and ask for the radio code - the salesman will ask for the VIN - supply that and they will look it up on the computer and write it down for you!
take radio out and look to left of radio

There are a few transmission fluids that can be used in a 1995 Ford F150. The most common fluid used would be Mercon ATF,
you take the outer panneling off first. then unscrew the radio
