How do you reset jabra bt620s?

Other wisdom claims that plugging the headset into the charger for 3 or 4 seconds, then disconnecting and doing this 3 times over, resets the headset.

My BT620s would not turn off, would not go into pairing mode, would not really do anything except emit one beep when any button was pushed or held. The above procedure did not help.

Finally I disassembled the right-side ear muff by removing the fabric cover, then the three little torx-like screws and disconnected the battery connector for 5 minutes. After hooking it back and reassembling, the headset worked normally.
