Whatever way is comfortable for you. There are many different picking techniques that require all sorts of different grips. I personally hold my pick (dunlop Jazz IIIs) with 2 fingers: index/thumb in such a way that i can angle the pick to the string by pulling my index finger in more or less. I hold it at about a 30 degree angle to the strings, though i angle back up (about 30 degrees again) when doing upstrokes during sweeps.

The strap has to be low, the guitar has to be on your crotch area, and in a solo, you can raise the guitar with your left hand, and raising your right foot a little you can than place the guitar on your right leg in a vertical position.
Basically you play a note or chord (chord works best) and hold it, let it ring, then you go right up to your guitar amp and hold the guitar right up to the speaker then you slowly turn the volume on the amp up until you hear feedback. And, while the guitar is feeding back, you can shake the guitar, or wiggle the volume knob a little to get a tremolo effect. Just mess around and experament.
If you are using a strap, you carry it the same way women carry purses, except for the guitar will be on your back. Or you can casually hold it as if you are about to play.
On the guitar were most fimiliar with, the Red, White, and Black Frankenstrat, There's not. Not for the stripes anyway. He does have Duck tape rolled up to hold picks and some on the back to hold wire outta the way, but that's it. The only guitar that was colored with tape is a Kramer Pacer he once had that was Purple with a series of many colors.
You can strum a guitar in various ways. You can strum with your thumb only, with your index finger (nail side strumming the strings), with your thumb and index (thumb supporting the index finger, simulation of holding a pick) and even with all your fingers. There are many ways of strumming the guitar, maybe some that I haven't mentioned here. It really depends on what the individual guitarist prefers though and what they find easiest
