How do you get the power windows to work on your 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition once they have stopped?

THIS HAPPEND TO ME .. IF YOU OPEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR IN THE JAMB . LOOK FOR THE WIRE HARNESS THAT JOINS TO THE DOOR TO THE INSIDE DOOR JAMB, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THAT HARNESS I THINK IT WAS A 6 OR 8 MM BOLT.. THAT HARNESS GETS PINCHED AND CAUSES A BREAK IN THE WIRING ,, VERY COMMON. EASY TO FIX ALSO...YOU CAN GET A GOOD ONE FROM A JUNK YARD FOR ABOUT 20 BUCKS.. SPIKED2U@AOL.COM

Check that the up/Down switch wiring is not loose or corroded on the right door and that the plug is tight also you could run a hot wire to check that the window regulator motor is not bad....Hope This Helps (new response) I have this same problem. The motor is good. I have checked motor and the switch. Both work fine. All the other windows work. I believe there is a short on the other side of the *alarm relay box (which is located in the glove box under a panel). You can hear the relay clicking off when I try to lower the window from the drivers side. So the short is probably under the dash somewhere. When I try to lower the window, the ABS dash light flashes on. I haven't figured it out yet, but I will update this when I do.
