How do you enable or install daytime running lights on US model 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

if they are not on and they are supposed to be then first check ur fuse pannel and be sure that it is a good fuse and if that's not the problem then sometimes the emergency brake causes them not to come on..... so check and see if the E-brake is one click down (it is not enabled at one click) if it is then un-lock it and they should come on
Was your Jeep an American one?If so you will have to take it to the dealer and have it reprogrammed

∙ 11y agoI have the same problem. So is necessary to got to Jeep dealer and swicht country for example Canada, later is working If not, them the DRL module is broken, need to change it. Import necessary from Canada.

∙ 17y agoSimply unplug the DRL module located right below the fuse box. Keep in mind that you will lose your high beam indicator as well.

I have a 2003 Cherokee Laredo so this awnser makes no sense at all. Do you have a GRAND Cherokee Laredo? Those are still being made. They are not the same as the Cherokee.

The running lights on the 99 Grand Cherokee are optional they do have a place to put in a fuse inside the engine compartment on most 99 Grand Cherokees. Although does not include the fuse go to a local auto store to get one.
