How do you determine a real cameo from a fake?

You can't tell yourself and you should take the cameo into a jewelers to determine whether it's a fake or not. Unfortunately, there are a lot of fakes out there and I hope yours is not one of them. The fake ones usually have two pieces and then glued or fused together and the real ones are usually solid. With high tech techniques even art work, jewelry, antique furniture is hard to detect as to whether it's fake or not and needs to be seen by a professional. Good luck Marcy
