on the inside of the guitar where the electronics are is a little soft metal box a little larger than a nine volt battery that is clipped to the electronics from my experince pull the three push pull knobs off of the out side of the guitar then unscrew the three screws that surounded the push pull knobs the electronics will drop then you will see the little box that is cliped on the side of the electronis not an ease job comes out one way goes back one way bad desine but a good guitar i have had mine for years make sure you use a good battery i use mine all the time a battery should last about a year and a half unplug guitar cord when not using an amp to save your battery unless you want to do this again tomorow whitch reminds me its time to change mine to good luck Danny

classical or electric guitar does not matter. the only thing that matter is how well you play it, and it depends on your taste for music. if you love rock and roll, then go for electric guitar but if you like classical, i suggest you take classical guitar
