Sometimes rural and country. Sometimes instrumental and vocal.
in many ways such as jazz blues e.t.c.
Rock may have had some aspects come from Jazz, but it hasn't turned "into" rock persay. Jazz music is very different from the Rock genre in many ways. If rock was developed from any genre, it would be more closely due to blues, country, and gospel. Hope this helps.
The Blues music is a musical genre which started in the late 19th century (1860s-civil war time) sung by enslaved african americans. Along with spirituals, (work songs-early blues) the blues is considered the Musical root of African Americans. They played the blues in theirfree timewhen the slaves were not working. African Americans played the blues as an expression of freedom and sorrow from being enslaved. The blues is an emotional music, either happy or sad-it expresses strong feelings and emotion towards something or someone, and is the musical taste of freedom. Blues is the music of the heart, soul and spirit. Blues is considered to be the roots of America's music and eventually, with much help from musical milestones such as Jazz (1910s), folk(1900s), country(1920s) and Rock'n'Roll(1940-50s), shaped and created the modern music we have nowadays.Fun fact: It is said that the earliest style of blues came from theMississippi Delta. Robert Johnson and Charley Patton are considered 2 major icons of the Delta Blues and the blues music in general.
1)Blues music has always got a sad rhythm to it and sad words.2) Blues is very similar to Jazz but with a sad rhythm to it as the comment says above me. Without the 'sad' flow of it, it won't be Blues... :)By ~Farida'x~
