I honestly was not sure of the answer to this question so I have done some research for you. I have found that unfortunately Sirius satellite radio does not work in Europe as Sirius does not have coverage in that area. I believe in Europe you can get satellite radio from a company called Worldspace.
No at this time Sirius only serves Canada, Mexico and the continental US. Though they are adding additional satellites to add more coverage to as far west as Hawaii, it is unlikely they will beam it over to Australia due to government overhead not feeling it is cost-effective or necessary to carry it due to DAB systems already in Australia. This is unfortunate, as it could serve as a great source of music for those in rural parts of the country.

I don't think so. I use the FM antenna that comes with the Sirius radio to broadcast a signal to the FM radio. The problem here is that the built-in antenna on the Windstar is a piece of junk. It barely works as is. I have been told that there is a small amplifier in the right d-pillar that amplifys the antenna signal to the radio. If this is bad or if power has been lost, reception is reduced. I have not found evidence of this amplifier on the schematics. This does not however mean it isn't there. Good luck. The circuits have nothing in common. The dome light works whether or not the key is on, the radio only works with the key on.
