They won't grow up exactly like their parents, but will certainly have some character traits of one or both parents. It's genetics. If you're worried one or both of your parents were not good parents then you can learn from this experience and change your own life for the better and also bring up your own children in a more loving environment. For Example: As much as I loved my father he was an alcoholic and sometimes it caused a great deal of grief in our home. My younger brother and I are casual drinkers (I rarely drink at all) and that's a choice we both made. You can learn from past experiences. Any children you will have in the future will learn from the mistake you and your future wife may make. Parenting skills are difficult and a brochure doesn't come with how to raise children.
