I just saw a crow with a hummingbird in its beak from my office window.
Predators such as crows, jays, roadrunners, cats, and mice all eat baby hummers. Hummers have also been caught by dragonflies and praying mantises, caught in Spiders' webs, snatched by frogs and fish, and stuck on thistles.
No one really knows. Crows eat mostly trash from humans and dead animals. But birds eat caterpillars.
I have had Humming bird feeder out since before April, I saw 2 moms eating from it and then nothin since. Not one Humming bird around. We have some big crows here in San Francisco, Im worried they eat them Is that possible? I miss my birds. I have been feeding them for over 13 years and even saw baby been born. What is going On. Please help me to get them back? I clean my feeder all the time and even change water even tho they do not feed.
