I know I've seen Rod Stewart sing this song in a live performance before on TV, but everyone on the net Say's no it was the Stories. I say BS no one sang this song as well as "ROD STEWART" {Rod Stewart} ( rod stewart) and I say ask the man himself and put this controversy to rest once and for all.........V
NO... The song is actually called Brother Louie (NOT the Kingsmen's song Louie Louie) and came from 1973, first recorded by Hot Chocolate, but the one confused as being Rod Stewart was the version released at the same time by The Stories. Singer Ian Lloyd had a voice similar to Rod Stewart and Stevie Marriott (Small faces) looking a bit like Steve as well, and this was the band's only hit.
