No he did not.

But, he did suffer from an auto-immune disorder which adversely affected his health (which declined rapidly from 1974 through his last breath). Since he had thyroid issues, and the auto-immune disease, these issues were apart of his declining health and his inability to lose weight and, in fact, his body/face ballooned in late 76 and increased in 1977.
