And at that time Bruno was dating Chanel not Jessica.
The other lyrics in the song fits Chanel more than Jessica as well. Bruno says the girl "walked out of (his) life", which is exactly what Chanel did. Chanel left Bruno Mars when she discovered he cheated on her with Rita Ora. Jessica hasn't ever left Bruno (at least not to public knowledge).

But either ways, Chanel is married with another guy now with a kid (if I'm not wrong), and Bruno has had a very long & stable relationship with Jessica. So I guess the story does have "a happy ending"
