Especially with Jeeps, ANYTHING is possible but not all things are practical. The fuel pump is buried in the gas tank on the 1993. It is also capable of holding 20 gallons of gas. Most tanks have a longer vent tube that only allow 15 gallons to be put in, then the sending units are also different between the 15 & 20 gallon tanks. It is probably easiest in the long run to just replace the pump in the tank. I am sure you could adapt an inline pump but I would think for the trouble, you would have to have a darn good reason to make it happen. If you do drop the tank, be careful NOT to pinch the fuel return lines between tank & frame.
2004 was the last year for grand cherokee's and 2006 was the last year for the wrangler to have an inline 6
For one year only, in 1998 the Grand Cherokee Limited model was offered with a 5.9 liter V8. That is a 360 cubic inch engine that required high test gasoline. The average V8 was the 5.2 liter that was in a milder state of tune in the Grand Cherokees. The base engine was the 4.0 liter straight 6 cylinder. The current options are the 3.7 V6, 4.7 V8 and 5.7 (Hemi) V8 and a 3.0L V6 (diesel)
Available engines were the 4.0 liter inline six, the 318 cu in. v8, and the 360 cu in v8
