As i understand it... Chord Families are a number of chords that can be played within the same stretch of fretboard real estate (maybe within the same four frets), where you can play all the chords in the key. This is pretty easy to catch onto if you know your neck or the nature of guitar chord construction but most of us beginners have a hard time grasping it. The C-A-G-E-D system could help get some new but easy to understand chords under your fingers... but in regard to chord families... This is a link to some stuff about it http://books.google.com/books?id=1nSqLzjZBKwC&pg=PA209&lpg=PA209&dq=chord+families&source=bl&ots=ITnmwIWTkr&sig=sbmg4-hDbaVALFC7xstytJNMLeQ&hl=en&ei=vuo4SpmwJpzY7AOwyfzZCw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9#PPA210,M1 and heres another http://guitar.titusvillebranchfellowship.org/chords/chord-families/ and another http://www.music-for-music-teachers.com/guitar-song-chords.html
Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive
Key of E Begins in E with C#m and Am on verses, then F#m and B on the two bridges. The last (or ending) part, after the second bridge is E and C#m Here are the chords for the three parts (verse, bridge, ending). I'm unable to place them where they change over the words with this program, but C#m comes over "hold" and "when", and Am comes over the "hands" and "dance," while B is played with "slowly" and "pick." E C#m Am Can you catch the moon and hold it in your hands E C#m Am Cause I can catch the moon when I do my moondance F#m B I press my hands together and slowly spin around F#m B I tell my moonbird sisters to pick me up and we'll go flying E C#m E C#m You can catch me You'll be happy

Jorge learned guitar in the streets of Brazil, stealing chords and excerpts of songs and pieces as fast as his eye and ear could catch. He is still learning guitar, but now stealing anything that catches his eyes and ears.
