deliberate indifference

A wanton disregard by corrections personnel for the well-being of inmates. Deliberate indifference requires both actual knowledge that a harm is occurring and disregard of the risk of harm. A prison official may be held liable under the Eighth Amendment for acting with deliberate indifference to inmate health or safety only if he or she knows that inmates face a substantial risk of serious harm and disregards that risk by failing to take reasonable measures to abate it.

What are the steps in owning a halfway home for released inmates?

You are going to have to get yourself a lawyer to help you on this one. This is a great idea, but there is one pitfall that is a problem .... 'where will this halfway house be?' Most neighborhoods will start pacing up and down their sidewalks because they don't want released inmates in their neighborhood. Generally the public will win out even if it takes months. This could be devastating finacially for the person running the Halfway house and to the released inmates. It would be a good idea to get governmental approval so you could perhaps get Grants to help run the Halfway House. It can be done, but there is a lot of red tape. Good luck

Is spm in pertective custody in prison?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, specific details about individuals in protective custody within prisons are typically not publicly disclosed for safety and privacy reasons. Protective custody is often used for inmates who may be at risk of harm from other inmates. If you have a specific individual in mind, their status would depend on their circumstances and any potential threats they may face.
