Only two series with a total of 52 episodes were originally planned, but due to popular demand, a third series was filmed. In July 2011 the production of a 26-episode spin-off called Mako: Island of Secrets was announced. soo with the new spin off they did not continue the original show

Claire Holt, the actor that plays Emma in "H2O: Just Add Water," she was unable to return to the show due to filming a Direct-to-video movie at the time which was titled "Messengers 2: The Scarecrow." She's also appeared in the TV movie "Mean Girls 2" as Chastity Meyer and she currently plays as Rebekah Mikaelson in The CW's hit series "The Vampire Diaries."

After H20 ended its production, Cariba Heine, the actress that played Rikki in H20, she still stayed pretty active but mostly focused on taking roles that were home-based. 1 role she played that aired in the United States was in the "The Pacific" TV miniseries which premiered back in 2010. She portrayed Phyllis in the series. Another role she plays that made its way to U.S. airwaves but this time in the form of TeenNick is her role of Isabelle in the "Dance Academy" show.

Phoebe Tonkin, the actress that played Cleo, she remained pretty busy as well after H20 wrapped up its production. Her lone known role that has made it to U.S. airwaves is in The CW's "The Secret Circle" in which she plays Faye Chamberlain.

Indiana Evans, the actress that played Bella, she also remained pretty busy, filming for a movie titled "Arctic Blast" as well as filming a Lifetime TV movie that was titled "Blue Lagoon: The Awakening."
