Walter Jones, Thuy Trang and Austin St. John the actors who played Zack, Trini and Jason the Black, Yellow and Red Rangers had went on strike because they had wanted the show to go union due to the long hours that they had worked and because of them wanting an increase in pay however the Producers behind Power Rangers instead opted to replace them instead of giving in to their demands. Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly the Pink Ranger) had left because her contract was expiring and she elected to leave and to not renew it. David Yost (Billy) had left during the production of Power Rangers Zeo because of harassment that he had received from crew members due to his sexual orientation.

∙ 11y agoWalter Jones, Thuy Trang and Austin St. John, they wanted more money so they went on strike. In the end they lost their job. It's unknown whether it was their doing when it comes to quitting or whether they were just fired. However their agent had suggested for them to go on strike because their agent wanted them to get a raise however the agent's plan backfired. The agent thought Walter, Thuy and Austin were too important to the show to the point that Haim Saban wouldn't dare to replace them.
Amy Jo Johnson had left on her own. Her contract was up and she wasn't interested in renewing it. Amy Jo did feel that it was time to move on and wanted to broaden her horizons. They had planned a previous ending but it didn't work out so they had to create the 'Dear John' letter that "Kimberly" wrote to 'Tommy' during Zeo.
David Yost, there are various reasons as to David's departure. 1 side states that he just stormed off the set one day and never returned. Another side within the crew states that David left because they weren't going to pay him his bonus anymore which they gave to a lot of the original cast members. However David stated that he left because some members within the crew harassed him due to his sexual orientation since his sexual orientation is that of liking other men.
Steve Cardenas, he was getting bored and his work ethic, even according to him, was not the best which is why he left as soon as he was given the opportunity to leave hence why Blake Foster was chosen as Justin to be the new Blue Ranger.
Johnny Bosch, Catherine Sutherland, Nakia and Jason David Frank, Jason Frank wanted to leave however once he told the people in charge this, they convinced him to stay on until some of Turbo and promised to write him out during the season which is why he stuck around for a bit longer. Jason is the only one that wanted to leave. Nakia, Catherine and Johnny were not interested in leaving, it was the Producers' decision to replace all of the veterans at the same time considering Jason was leaving.
In regards to Blake leaving, it was because of his Mom not wanting him to continue working so they had no choice but to write him off.

∙ 11y agoIn the show the original Pink Ranger, Kimberly had left because she wanted to train for the Pan Global Games so she chose Katherine Hillard to take her place. Behind the Scenes however Kimberly's actress, Amy Jo Johnson chose not to renew her contract because she wanted to pursue other opportunities however she agreed to appear in the Turbo movie in order to honor her original contract even though it had expired.
