There are several theories as to why her lights stayed on as long as they did.
First, lets set out the known facts:
1). Titanic's electrical generators were run off steam, the same as the engines. As long as there was enough pressure from the boilers (regardless of whether they were lit), the electric generators would continue running, even if the engines were stopped.
2). Titanic's lights ran on 100v direct current (DC, unlike AC - alternating current - used today). Her lights would have remained on even underwater (to a certain extent). This is similar to you turning on a flashlight and dropping it into a bathtub or a pool. The light will stay on, albeit dimmed.
As far as her sudden loss of power, there could be several reasons.
One is that steam pressure just ran out. This is unlikely though, since the boilers were venting their pent-up steam through the funnel's steam pressure exhaust pipes all night.
Another possibility is that electrical lines broke, though I find this unlikely, as the dynamos were located in the stern, behind the main reciprocating engines. If this had happened, the stern's lights would have remained on
A third, more likely, scenario, is that the steam pipe from the boilers broke or was breached at some point, depriving the electrical generators of their needed steam.
Hope this helps!
The Titanic started sinking on April 14,1912 at about 11:45.It finally went down at 2:00 a.m. the following morning. The ship that came to rescue(The Carparphia)Came just an Hour later at 3:30 a.m.
How many people jumped off the sinking ship Titanic cannot be determined since virtually everyone of them is dead and the lights would have been too low for the survivors to get a decent reckoning.
yes i used to use neon interior and exterior lights and i wish i would of found the led kits before because they are about 6 times brighter. You can see it clear on a sunny day.
Turn signal lights that double as parking (marker lights) when not blinking.
Ghosts are definitely scared of lights. Yes, lights can really kill ghosts.
Suddenly, the lights dimmed. She dimmed the lights.
I can give you several sentences.Suddenly, the lights flickered and went dark.He suddenly began to cry.We were suddenly surrounded by pygmies.
Your dashboard lights suddenly not working is almost always your indication that your taillights are out. If the fuse for your taillights is blown and you replace it, your dash lights should be fine.
check the fuses
your alternator is dead.

Check fuses and the headlight switch.
Unexplained bright lights that fly alongside or behind fighter pilots is the role that "foo fighters" have in the literature on UFO incidents. The phenomena of the lights was witnessed widely by pilots during the Second World War. This was the first war in which many battles were fought in the air. The lights would appear suddenly and then just as suddenly disappear. Witnesses to the mysterious lights included battle observers on the ground.

I have a 94 PF and the dash lights, visor mirror lights, glove compartment light, and parking lights intermittently don't work. I have checked all the fuses and they were all ok. I did replace the rear right tail light, but still had the same issue. I turn the light switch to the parking light setting off and on, and it takes multiple tries before they work. Not sure why they do not consistently come on....
Nothing. The lights go first.
