In the season 9 episode Loyalty, part 2 (original airdate April 6, 2010), following the death of Captain Ross, Eames is named as Ross' replacement and her first assignment is to fire Goren, due to his suspicious behavior and lack of straightforward answers previously in the episode. Well, it so happens that the USA Network has an announcement on their site that Goren and Eames will be appearing in their roles in the 2011 season of Law and Order CI. They're also announcing that this will be the final season, which will consist of 8 episodes.
