Giraffes suffer from loss of habitat. Human beings are constantly taking over wild land to turn it into farms, cities, etc. We then keep the giraffes out, because we don't want them eating our trees.

Although it is true that some giraffe subspecies are in trouble, a few others still maintain viable populations, and the giraffe as a species is listed as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
