The music including the catchy theme used at most exciting parts in all the Indiana Jones movies was in fact composed by JOHN TOWERS WILLIAMS and is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
John Williams who was born on 8th February 1932 in New York is widely considered to be the world's most famous composers of movie music of all time as well as being one of the greatest composers of Classical Music in the 20th and 21st centuries. He also composed the music for very many extremely famous movies including Star Wars, Jaws, ET, Jurassic Park, Schindlers List, Saving Private Ryan, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, and the first three Harry Potter movies. Other often performed well known music he has composed includes the theme music for four Olympic Games, NBC Nightly News on TV and the series Lost in Space on TV . With fortyeight Academy Award nominations, John Williams is the second most nominated person, after Walt Disney. He has also won five Academy Awards, seven British Academy Awards, twenty-one Grammy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards for his compositions.
Outside the world of movies, John Williams is a talented concert pianist and orchestral conductor and has also composed many classical music works including fifteen Concertos for various instruments and Symphony Orchestra, Six chamber works and nineteen other concert works for Symphony Orchestra. He was Principal Conductor of the Boston Pops orchestra from 1980 to 1993. John Williams today continues to make annual appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl and was Conductor and composer in that orchestra's gala concert for the Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2003.
