When you are 18. A minor never get to choose, it's always the parents or a judge who chooses. In some states the minor can, at a certain age, voice his opinion but the judge is not obligated to follow his wish. So "choosing" is only with parental or the courts consent which doesn't really make it choosing at all.
well I think that when you turn 13 you can choose what parent you want to live with. But that's just my opinon.

No. Autism gives no special power to select a custodial parent. If a decision must be made and it cannot be made with the consent and agreement of the parents then the court will decide.
In Mexico a minor can choose which parent to live with at the age of 14.
