A Schnauzer.
They look like this:
It's not a schnauzer - it looks nothing like a schnauzer, which is grey and black. It looks most like a breed called a Brussels Griffon, which was also in the Jack Nicholson movie, "As Good as It Gets."

Alternately, it looks a bit like an Affenpinscher, also called a "monkey dog," although they're almost always black.

No dear God, Anchorman is awesome!!! Agreed...if you think 'Anchorman' was the worst movie EVER, you really should get out more. 'Manos: The Hands Of Fate' or any number of the films done on 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' would qualify LONG before 'Anchorman'.

According to the trainer who did an interview with PawNation, the dog's name is Quince.
Anchorman definetely. Closely followed by Step Brothers. I agree, Anchorman was the funniest Will Ferrell movie and maybe even the funniest movie ever. Stay Classy San Diego!!!
Steve Carell played the role of Brick in the movie Anchorman.

im pretty sure you're talking about Anchorman
In the movie Anchorman, Ron Burgundy's dog's name is "Baxter". Baxter was actually played by two different dogs in the two different films (the original and the sequel). The original dog's name in real life was Peanut, and the sequel's pup-star is Quince.
