A Cog. Just a guess. As for the rest, no clue.
An Elco, Dawn, or Consolidated commuter yacht are the most likely choices. The yacht in "Wind" was very similar, and was a Consolidated. It is a boat manufactured by the Dawn Boat Company. Currently berthed in Clayton, NY, the Thousand Islands.
No one is producing VHS anymore. You'd have to find a used copy. Try ebay.
The boat used in the movie "On Golden Pond" was a Chris-Craft 22 ft Sportsman. Actually, 2 identical boats were used for filming. The Sportsman is a classic wooden boat model referred to as a "utility." A utility is an open boat without cockpits, which has the engine under a box, and you can walk around the engine, or sit on the box. Although modern boats are often referred to as "runabouts" under a certain length, classic boats are not referred to as runabouts unless they have individual cockpits with the engine concealed under the deck. The Sportsman was also built in 17 ft, 18 ft, 19 ft, 20 ft, 24 ft, 25 ft, 26 ft and 29 ft. Actually three boats were used... Two good boats and the crash boat... One good boat was used for primary shooting which was 95% of the scenes. One boat was only used for one brief scene, (full throttle scene). And the Crash boat which was only used in the final crash segment...

flipper theme song
I assume you mean Flipper. Flipper was originally a movie- later a television program and the title character was a Dolphin. There was a sort of loosely-derived novel that had the Flipper title, but had differently-named characters, a submarine used by smugglers called the(Killer Whale) and was entirely different from the Television show except for the Title character- the names of the family ( Porter Riggs and sons) in the TV show- was changed in the novel. it was publlished by Whitman as I recall and was a real dud. there were no Flipper series novels- a la Trixie Belden, Tom Swift, Hardy Boys....
A very small boat It was a small vessel used for tourist cruises before it became shipwrecked on a deserted island.

Any long strong rope will do, you should be able to tie the boat to other boats and moorings with it easily.
