1. Both are used to write on paper.
2. Their size and shape is generally the same.

4. There are various types of nibs for both.
5. There are many types in both - ball pen/ink pen etc...lead pencil/HB/2B/3H etc.
Differences:
1. Pen uses ink while pencil does not.
