There are many different styles of 2-story houses, but typically each story is about 10 feet, but could be a little less or quite a bit more. An attic above could add anywhere from 6 to 10 feet to the total height and a foundation wall or basement will usually add a few feet more. The absolute minimum, built on a slab with a flat roof and low ceilings, would be about 16 feet. Or if it were on a 3' foundation wall with high ceilings and a full attic, it could be 40 feet or more.
