Its OK for kids over the age of 13. So like the end of middle school.

I read it and I'm only 9. It was an awesome book. I can't believe Stieg Larsson died already. Just a massive heart attack made the book be able for middle school kids.

I'm not sure what grade level, but it's not an easy book to read. It was originally written in Swedish so there are some references to stories and Swedish money that make it hard to understand.

This book is definitely not for young readers or for kids younger than about 16 years old. They wouldn't have problems reading and understanding it, but it's extremely graphic and a high maturity level is necessary.

It's a good book, but don't read it to your kids.
