Fox News is the media arm of the Republican party; its reporting of news tries be fair, but its commentators are generally conservative Republicans and stories are framed in a way that favors Republican policies and beliefs. CNN was the first cable news network, and it strives for a centrist, balanced approach in its news coverage. It tends to be the go-to network for reports on breaking news, and is known for its ability to thoroughly cover major events in the US and overseas.
MSNBC is known for being generally pro-Democratic in its talk shows and commentary. Although several hosts are Republicans, they are of the moderate variety; the majority of the hosts present current events from a progressive or liberal perspective. C-Span is a neutral, non-commercial network that does not cover breaking news, although it does broadcast live coverage of congressional hearings and votes on critical issues; it is known for being educational in its focus, and it broadcasts interviews with newsmakers, Talk Shows about current issues, and a well-known program about books.

Yes. If you are a person that wants the news how it is, and not how people want you to hear it. Then, I would highly recommend you do not follow MSNBC.
MSNBC is not news. It is a liberal owned propaganda machine that spews hatred towards anyone or anything that does not adhere to their socialist beliefs. It is extremely difficult, these days to get any honest and unbiased from any media outlet. MSNBC is just a classic example of how out of touch the media is with ordinary, hard working Americans who don't want to be brainwashed into thinking that we are worthless and evil for wanting to live free and independent.
There are strong opinions on this just like the strong opinions people have about political parties, especially since these "news" networks concentrate on political reporting. Many people believe neither is really providing actual news or journalism, but rather magazine TV and entertainment programming. Both fall short in giving objective reporting on issues and both spin the news. Studies have been being done and non-partisan fact check organizations have found that Fox news has a higher percentage of inaccurate reporting of facts than MSNBC. The President and the owner of Fox news are themselves supportive of the Republican party and active in that support. Many, if not most of the reports on MSNBC seem to spin things more toward the Democratic party's point of view. It is unfortunate that most "news" networks have moved from investigative objective journalism to partisan spin and propaganda. The answer to this question ultimately depends upon the views of the person who is asked.
