Many zoning by laws refer to the max allowable height of a structure as being the height from the finished grade to a point representing the "average height" of the roof. If you have a typical gable roof you essentially need to determine the average height of a triangle. You will often hear that it is the mid point, but that is not correct. Depending on the method / logic you use (basic algebra or calculus) the resulting formula for the average height of a triangle results in ... 0.2929 X h or 1/3 h Where h is the distance from the base of the triangle to the max height.
The word average here is INCREDIBLY general, since averages vary greatly from one geographical area to the next.So, I will use my experience to set the parameters and say that an average One story home (2-3 bedrooms) would be around 1,600 SF, making the math simpler, we'll say the dimensions are 40'x40'.That said, starting at the surface of the slab or the finished wood sub-floor, most ceilings are 90 to 96 inches in height.for that span, the joists in that ceiling will be 2x10 at a minimum, using a 12" overhang on both sides, your total roof width would be 42' and going with a modest 4/12 pitch, the height of that roof would be 1/3 of half that width or 7'.Add that 7 feet roof height to your 8 feet living space height and your total house height would be;15 feetthe average height of a house as of today is an estimate of around 5 698.334 inches tall
To pitch of roof, place a one foot level on the roof with one side touching, and the other side in the air (leveled) from the side in the air, measure down in inches. If you measure 5 inches, then your roof has a 5/12 pitch; meaning it rises five feet of height in every twelve feet of run. Using this number and a little math you can figure the height of roof ridge, measure total width, divide by two to find one half. If your roof pitch was 5/12 and you measured the half measurement to center of 14 feet, then your height to the ridge (off the top of end wall of house) is 5.83 feet. This number is found by dividing your pitch numbers; 5 divided by 12, and then multiply that number by 14.

Within certain limits, story height is according to owner preference and designer's choice rather than by structural guidelines, however minimum and maximum height will be regulated by and according to a municipal code and every municipality will have different requirements according to the environmental impact, the urban planning, uniformity, etc. but an average western (ground to roof) story is between 12 and 15 feet in height and the internal height of the floor to ceiling is from 7 to 10 feet. The required space allocation for a structure is a percentage of the entire space with the remaining percentage for green area such as a yard or a courtyard, and this has an impact on the building dimensions which will have an impact on the internal and external design. Many people live in industrial zones say in a residential apartment, for example, and you will find the height of the average story to be greater than if the structure is located in a residential zone. As well the materials requirements will also be much different as the load-bearing regulations will be different. Otherwise the height of a residential story is from ground to roof or floor to ceiling. chrismar
The top of a gable form roof is the peak. This is the tip of the gable and running back along along the rest of the roof it forms the high point of the whole roof which is called the ridgeline. Some gable roofs have a finial, or decorative spike, at the peak of the gable.
The height of the structure is about 12 feet from bottom of frame to peak of roof. Actual total height when wheels are off and it's on foundation will vary.
Yes you can get solar panels in a mobile home. Remember solar panels are installed on the roof and mobile homes have a roof.
twenty feet,not including the roof height p' /p;
The dimensions are dependent upon the overall size, length and width, of the double-wide mobile home in question.
Can I get help with a metal roof, insulation in walls, siding, & or underpinning on my double wide mobile?
1.59 meters... approx 5' 2.5 feet
Yes, you can, but it's best to remove the old shingles first.
Go to home depot and you will get the awnser
Roofing on Mobile homes appears to be very much the same as on a regular house. I've seen 4-5 done and they do it exactly the same way. -Mine has a 'duroid tile' roof, my neighbor has a metal sheet roof (very expensive,but more long lasting) another neighbor (old logger) did his own cedar shake roof. So I would imagine that doing a vinyl roof would be the same as on a regular home.
I would consider the roofline the highest point, or the "ridge".
depends on pitch of roof,and height of roof ,
It depends on the pitch (the slope) of the roof.
