Obtain a drivers hand book from mto office, and get the air brake hand book as well. Read both hand books. The when your ready goto the nearest drivers testing place and tell them that you want to get your DZ license. Sometimes you also have to get a check up from the doctor as well. The test was at least the $70.00 range when I wrote it. After this is completed you have to get experienced driving the truck around and at some point do the drivers test. It might be easier to do the test in a small town so you don't have so many people and things around. Before you even start the vehicle make sure you do a proper circle check. Make sure it is safe to drive and record this in a log book. Next thing to do is make sure the wheel chocks are in place and start doing your air brake tests. Now if your sure it is safe to drive remove the wheel chocks, and the instructor will tell you where to drive just like doing your regular license.
