It's still happening. Here's the scoop: David Neal was fired from WBRC Fox News in March of 2008. He filed suit on Monday, 12 May 2008, and his suit names Fox Television Stations of Birmingham, Inc., Fox 6 WBRC, news director James Finch, assistant news director Lantz Croft, and other named and unnamed defendants. The action, filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court, alleges breach of contract and making up false statements about him to justify his dismissal. The chief meteorologist had been with the station for some 11 years. His last appearance was late in February, toward the end of the Nielsen sweeps. There is, of course, nothing about Neal or the action currently posted on the station's web site.
