Jacen Solo became a Sith, Darth Caedus, after killing Luke Skywalker's wife Mara Jade Skywalker who was also his friend Ben Skywalker's mother. He eventually gains control over the Galactic Alliance and becomes the primary villain in the series until he is in turn killed by his sister after he sees the error of his ways. Jaina was so infuriated by his actions she stabbed him through the heart not understanding he had returned to the light side.
Jaina is the only surviving child of Han's she was trained in combat by the Jedi and by Boba Fett who eventually developed a respect for Han.
