think about it...they have lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and a large grasslands...Its in Africa. Zazu even says that in one scene. According to the commentary track by the directors and producer, Pridelands is in Kenya. And thus apparently the jungle where Simba grows up in is not in Kenya but somewhere else n Africa.
I believe the moral issue of The Lion King stage musical is to find and take your place in the Circle of Life just like Simba has to take his place in the Circle of Life as king of Pride Rock.
The overall theme of The Lion King is to find and take your place in life like Simba had to take his place as king of the Pridelands.
The story of Tarzan mostly takes place in Africa. There are also a few parts that take place in America...not in the movie, but in the book.
The three biomes seen in The Lion King are the tropical rainforest, desert, and savanna grassland.

The main idea in The Lion King is to simply move on from your past. Whatever happened in the past is simply just that — in the past. The moral of the story is to learn from it, grow personally from it, and then move on with your life and don't dwell on things.
The characters first appear in the classic Lion King as young lion cubs who grow up through the story. They both also appear in the Lion King 2 where they are adults who now rule over the lions and have a child of their own. Simba and Nala also appear in the Lion King 1 1/2, which is Timone and Pumba's funny take on what happened in the Lion King.
