Stormvogel, a 73' ketch was built for South African owner Cornelius Bruynzeel. She raced in several Transpacific Yacht Races (LA to Honolulu) as well as other major ocean races, turning in outstanding times. She was bested in the amazing 1967 Honolulu Race by Bob Johnson's stripped and lightened 73' ketch, Ticonderoga, one of the most beautiful sailing vessels of all time. I believe the naval architect for Stormvogel was Giles VanDeststant. Approximate build date would have been 1965. Probably was built of fibreglass.

A sailboat that is propelled by an outboard motor is typically considered a "motorized sailboat." While it primarily uses sails for propulsion, the outboard motor provides additional power for maneuvering, especially in calm winds or when entering or leaving harbors. This combination allows for greater flexibility in navigation and enhances the boat's versatility.
A sailboat is a metaphor for freedom and exploration, gliding over the vast ocean of possibilities. Its sails catch the winds of change, symbolizing adaptability and the journey of life. Just as a sailboat navigates both calm waters and turbulent seas, it represents resilience in the face of challenges. Ultimately, it embodies the pursuit of dreams, charting a course toward uncharted horizons.

Dragging a dinghy behind a sailboat depends entirely on the distance and location of the cruise and the weather. For instance towing the dinghy behind on a short afternoon coastal cruise in protected waters in calm weather may be fine, however towing a dinghy from the East Coast of the United States to the Caribbean would be difficult and the dinghy may be lost.
A sailboat with an outboard motor is commonly referred to as a "motor sailer." This type of vessel is designed to be propelled by sails for wind navigation, but it also has an outboard motor to provide additional power when needed, such as in calm conditions or for maneuvering in tight spaces. Motor sailers combine the benefits of both sailing and motor boating, making them versatile for various conditions.
