Explain why oases, camels, and military posts would be important to traders taking land routes to reach China.
It might depend on the cultural background, but in cities there is no particular dress code and you will find mostly western clothes worn. Some religions (like Shembe) will not allow women access if they are wearing pants, and there will be a few similar types of requirements for some other religious groups.
The silk wasn't an actual road, but more a region of common paths from Europe through the Middle East, India and ending in China. So you might say that it ended at either the Mediterranean Sea or the Sea of Japan. Depending on which way your cart is pointing.
Arab traders sailing the Indian ocean in their sailing ships preferred to travel during the months of June and July because they were the prevailing months of monsoon winds; that is why they are called trade winds.
What do you mean "important city" exactly? If you mean Capital city, then it might be because nearly half the population lives there, or it's near an area where you can easily find their major exports. Im not sure.

When you take a Mediterranean cruise, make sure one of the stops that you have is a wine tasting. The area is known for the fine wines. Some cruises might have these stops included in packages, but if not, plan on stopping when you dock in one of the cities.

The Italian peninsula and Sicily almost form a geographical divide in the Mediterranean Sea. This "land bridge" gave Rome access to North Africa. Rome's main port on the Mediterranean, Ostia, was only 16 miles southwest of Rome. This port gave Rome's navy an easy access to the western Mediterranean. This included all of North Africa west of Carthage to the Rock of Gibraltar, the western coast of Spain, and the ports on the southern side of Gaul. Rome's geographical position thus gave it extremely easy access to the areas it would need to dominate this half of the Mediterranean on a military basis and provided Rome with the natural resources, such as minerals and crop lands needed to sustain further expansion. The Italian peninsula's northern border gave Rome a land access to Gaul and a land bridge to Greece and the Balkans. Ports in Sicily gave Rome's navy access to the eastern half of north Africa and a sea route to Greece. These ports also gave Rome access to the wealthy nation of Egypt, and the wealth of the lands on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean. Taken as a whole, Rome's location could not have been better in its quest to dominate the Mediterranean world and the lands inward from the Mediterranean.
it will disappear
Paul was the most traveled apostle and visited the areas of Macedonia, Asia minor and of course, Israel. Today we might call this the eastern Mediterranean area. Pauls' missionary tours were recorded in the Bible book of Acts.
