Just because I had one in the past (2004 malibu) I would say that I has something to do with the fuse that works for the turn signal and brake light. Because for them both not to be working I would doubt that it was a bulb. Just my opinion. Of course you should get it looked at.

I also have a 2002 Chevy Malibu that had the weird blinker issue. Last year I checked it out and found it was a recall. You should be able to have it fixed for free. Mine was fixed last spring and I haven't had any problem since.
The oxygen sensors in a 2005 Chevy Malibu are in the exhaust system. You'll find them at the end of the down pipes and behind the catalytic converter.

It sounds as if the fuel filter is clogged and not getting enough fuel to the injectors.
The fog lights on a Chevy Malibu can be reached from under the car. Pull off the old lights and toss out the bulb. Replace with a new bulb and reinsert the light in the fog housing.
When daytime running lights do not work, it means the bulbs may have burned out. It could also mean the fuses have failed or there is a short in the wiring.
