1. Roy entered full time ministry as an ordained pastor with the Rhema Family of Churches in 1991. He is head of the Western Cape Province Rhema Family Churches & National Governing Board Member. Roy is also the Regional Overseer of the Intenational Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC), Western & Southern Cape Provinces.2. He has founded many benevolent organisations which led him and his wife Matilda to receive the prestigious Rotary Award for Outstanding Service to the Community.3. Roy's passion for the underprivileged and emotionally scarred, combined with his love for business, real estate and challenges, motivated him to become the visionary and founder of the following over the last 20 years:3.1. Rhema Cape Town North Church (Senior Pastor), with three assistant pastors, Key Leaders and Ministry Leaders.3.2. Founding Trustee of Kingdom Ministries Trust, with an extensive property portfolio, focussing on the acquisition and development of real estate and infrastructure for all their ventures, projects and services provided.3.3. Community Mental Health & Psychiatry (CMHP), currently providing 24 hour comprehensive care to more than 300 long-term psychiatric and mentally challenged children and adults, situated at various mental hospitals and in the community. Services are rendered within the framework of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) principles as internationally endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO).3.4. A Human Resources Department with medical and administrative staff of more than 85 employees.3.5. Community Mental Health Academy, providing training to more than 40 psychiatric caregivers each year since 2000.3.6. A Mental Health Clinic managed by three professional nursing sisters and support staff.3.7. Help Your Neighbour, a Fundraising Agency focussing on Social Responsibility for Corporate Institutions on a consultancy basis.3.8. Community Diners, providing catering to various institutions and homes, currently providing more than 1200 meals daily.3.9. CAB Conference Centre and CAB Restaurant and Internet Café with a computer training centre, aimed at capacity building in communities, offering various training courses, life coaching and more.3.10. South African Institute for Life Coach Training (SAILCT) where life coaches are trained.4. Roy has been instrumental in the intervention of, and preventing the closure of several mental health institutions. He and his team are also contracted on an ad hoc basis as consultants by the Department of Health.5. He gained thorough experience in Restorative Justice, Parole Board procedures and counselling during his 3½ years voluntary work at Goodwood Prison, Cape Town.6. He has served on many Boards, of which one was as Chairperson of the National Nutritional and Social Development Program (NNSDP) of the Department of Health where he represented the Western Cape Province on National level in 1995.7. Roy was the co-Founder of SARFAT Projects in the late 1990's together with Mr. Pierre Uys, former Provincial Minister of Health.8. He successfully initiated, convened and co founded the Mental Health NPO Stakeholders (MHNS) in 2006, an Advocacy group which represents more than 150 Non Profit organisations in the Western Cape, now being established nationwide.9. He is a member of the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR), and a member of various national and international associations, including the US Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (USPRA).10. Roy has travelled extensively abroad to equip himself in Psychosocial Rehabilitation studying various models of community integration of psychiatric patients in countries like the USA, Europe and Ukraine.11. He is a renowned motivational speaker with more than 20 years experience. He was invited to Groningen University (Netherlands) and the USA as a speaker on Psychosocial Rehabilitation.12. Roy has made significant contributions in the form of a variety of motivational quotes that was published by Struik Books in the revised Handbook for Christian Living by Charles Stanley, originally published in the USA.13. His philosophy is that each person should be encouraged and coached to discover their purpose and passion, living a fulfilled and prosperous life, contributing to the upliftment of mankind and society.14. Roy is married with 3 children and resides in Cape Town, South Africa and Florida, USA (ex vicis ut vicis).
