OVER 14,800 US Marines died in the Vietnam War. If you want their names, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall has them recorded there.
First Blood and Apocalypse Now are two Hollywood films made on the US-Vietnam war.
Vietnam
The statue represents the US Military Nurses that served in the Vietnam War. The roles of women during the Vietnam War, were the same as portrayed during the Korean War (see films: MASH), WWII, and World War I.
Best war movies ever.
Communist North Vietnam defeated South Vietnam
The only thing in common is that both were wars that took over ten years. The Vietnam war is a war that occurred in the 1950's until 1971, this war was between the South Vietnam and the Americans who were on the same team, and the Vietcong who was the North Vietnam that teamed up with Communist China. There were no gods making champions fight in Vietnam.
There's plenty of Vietnam War films that show both perspectives. Although the conflict in Vietnam may not have been justified, depending on who you talk to, all sides of the war did what they believe is necessary. There no is such thing as a "good" or "bad" side in war.
Q who was the victor of the Vietnam war? A I have no idea who won the Vietnam war!!!!

the Vietnam War
There are whole armories full of war films dealing with World War II, those made during the war are naturally more Gung-Ho and make it look attractive to the participants. the more controversial nature of war- innocent suffering, long-term separation angst- conscience-attacks and reluctant servicemen- had to wait until well after VJ day. In films made during the war the Japanese are seen as a collective bunch and not really human in character- this is certainly not true of the Germans. The controversial type of war films- were not made until well after the Conflict was won and even then are in the minority. naturally the Veteran"s groups such as the American Legion cast a critical eye on war films for historical accuracy, political correctness, etc. Few films, and NO service comedies were done on TV, for example on the Vietnam conflict. Mash was set in Korea, if you needed to ask.
