The similarities are shocking and many, to voice the old adage-history repeats itself- would not be sufficent to fully describe the attacks on civil and human rights of entire populations. The Coalition of the willing (also known as the coalition of the billing-due to the large amounts of foreign aid given to participants in the illegal invasion of Iraq by the US) have usurped the rights of the free people of the world under the cover of protecting "freedom".
The dark episode known as the red scare in American history showed how even citizens were not safe from state persecution- a loss of jobs; blacklisting of "communists", which created difficulty finding work. The same tactics of Propaganda and a curb on the constitution, in the name of protecting society are being used to gain, and maintain political ends. Since the events in, September 2001, The actions of the US has killed hundrends of thousands of people and displaced millions more.
