In the Holly Bible from Genesis 1 verse 26, God created man in his own image. In chapter 2 verse 18 of the same book, it is said that God saw that it was not okay for man to live alone he let Adam over sleep and removed a rib from him which he made Eve. Adam called her a woman for she was made from a man's fresh. The above gives us a brief background of what marriage is and what it can achieve.

Prior to the 19th century, marriages were common especially here in Africa and were organizations that received honor, support and respect. Over the years, the taste has changed. It would seem the view is no longer the same. People don't seem to appreciate the importance and goodness of marriages.

It is more than common now that both men and women are staying much longer before they get married and this is especially true with women. My observation is that there are basically a number of reasons behind this development one of which being school. The world is changing such that life is becoming more and more expensive by the day. Both men and women would like to get to some one who can support their basic social and economic needs. So women would like to have secure relationships and they ascertain by the level of education, say academic as well as professional attainments a man has attained as a measure, on the other hand outstanding business performance suggests outstanding skills in which women see some security as well..

Equally men no longer rush to get married to someone who looks beautiful from outside, rather they take their time to discover the true colors of that better half. This might be probably due to an upsurge of gender based violence which not only affects women but men too. For instance some women will not let their men sleep until they buy them what they want or they give them the money they want. Some men have been burnt on the face with hot water on petty issues while some women have lost hands.

The HIV/AIDS pandemic is another contributing factor whereby no one trust another and both women and men don't know who to trust, whether they are clean or not and if clean can they remain so? for how long? Some people just decide to leave the whole sexy life to the dogs for fear of catching the virus. One thing we must appreciate though is that life is full of risks and it depends on what you perceive as risk and whether one is ready to take them or not. All in all it worthy noting that single life has its own advantages and disadvantages as well as married life

Advantages of single life

Relationships are all about compromise. You lose some and win some. Being single on the other hand, is all about being in control and taking charge of your self. Being single allows you to be self-indulgent without the need to feel guilty so you don't lose anything and no compromising with anyone.

Often when in relationships, women become self-conscious about their body image. They need to dress and make up their hair to impress someone they love who they thing loves them. This can be one reason some women/men would not want to get involved into serious relationships. When single, one is no longer bothered with the way one looks. Being single means you are no longer a slave to the way you look. Single girls can stop worrying about their image 24 hours a day, as they have no one to please but themselves.

Relationships involve sharing and sometimes that means everything! Some guys are content to just share your chocolate with you, but when they insist on borrowing YOUR clothes, you know you're in trouble! The beauty of being single is that you don't have to share with anyone - it's all about you, you, and you alone!

Humans are bon differently like introverts and extroverts where if one is married to an introvert, mean loss of party-life. You can't go out and enjoy any more or if you happen to go out with your fiancé, it still not mean not being very free, for instance you can dance freely with another man or woman while if single you can party till dawn and dance the way you want to without looking backward!
You get to meet different types of people while mingling in different circles which can not be the case when married.

Single girls are footloose and fancy-free. And single men can be at drinking joints all night without being questioned. Their budgets are full of them alone no sharing. They are free agents and entitled to see who they want, when they want.
Being single allows you to flirt with a guy or girl, without feeling guilty!
Rediscover your own body clock. Single girls should enjoy the freedom; answer to no one and do things in their own timeframe.
Remember that single life can be a headache-free, hassle-free, wonderful Life!

Most married persons who have argued with a spouse about money have longed to be single again and in total financial control. Mostly marriages break up because of financial woes, either the man is over spending on un necessary thinks like drinking, womanizing and many more. This and other acts turn marriages into hell and no one would really want to marry after going through such nasty experience.

Advantages of married life (disadvantages of single life)

Marriage means a woman and a man coming together and accepting each other as husband and wife. The forum at which that is done does not matter. There are several forms of marriage like well known African traditional marriages usually confirmed in churches, the western ones that can be confirmed by the law and the partnership type of marriages. In the earlier category, it is beyond a contract and couples swear to love each other for life, for better or for worse. From the onset, they agree to accommodate each other whether one does it worse or better, while partnership kind of marriage, people can break up so easily. It is just a relationship and not a marriage as in that context.

One is basically secure in a marriage and this is in all respects be it physical, social, psychological as well as financial. Assuming you are single and alone in your house, you fall sick in the middle of the night who do call on?

Marriage has many economic advantages, such as pooled income, if both are working or are engaged in some form of economic activities. They share economic plans and can achieve more. For instance they can run a business jointly with shared responsibilities in its management

"One thing to keep in mind is that, it is always a mix of financial and emotional decisions," says Scott Farber, a wealth management adviser based in Natick, Mass. "It's difficult to look at a relationship from a strictly financial standpoint." In marriage both physical and emotional aspects of a person are addressed. You may observe that singles usually die of heart attacks or Bps because they have lots of issues burning inside them as they have no one to share with. You confide in each other and it is said that a problem shared is a problem half solved.

You share the joy of fulfilling Gods plan where man and woman were meant to be together for life and continue with the creation process.

Singles have their own tough times as well as married couples. All in all, married couples will find someone to share their problems with un like the single. For the men getting a wife means getting a lost part of them. Women find security, love and affection in being close to a man on whose chest, they can lay their heads.

I believe that both lives have respective advantages but certainly would opt for a married life especially if I have the necessary basic prerequisites. I need to have regular income, a home and a future to share with my partner. It's really exciting at some point.

In married life you have kids (if God allows) and you can go out say to the lake and have fun together it really exciting.

How do you make up with your ex girlfriend who is married?

Answer Apparently things didn't work out between you and her, and so she went off and married someone else. That being said, why not let her live her life and you do the same and leave her alone. If she would have wanted you in her life married or single she would have contacted you before she married. Now it's time for you to move on.
