they are both predators. Both hunt vermin and smaller animals. Owls and cats are similar in size and hunting ability. Both owls and cats have excellent vision for hunting. Both hibernate well during the day and can hunt well at night. When agitated or threatened, both owls and cats make hissing noises. Similarities in facial features such as proportion and alignement as well as eye shape, distance from the nasal cavity, and color are found in cats and owls as well.

Both owls and humans are vertebrates (they have backbones), and breath air. We also are warm blooded animals. Both owls and humans have eyesight and hearing as their primary senses. Both owls and humans care for their young.

Besides these, there are far too many similarities to list, some of which would seem rather silly (we both have the same organ systems, we both are made of matter, we both live on Earth, etc).

Oh, dude, basketball and ring-ball are like distant cousins at a family reunion - they both involve throwing a ball into a hoop, so that's a start. They both require some level of hand-eye coordination, and, like, you can totally play them with friends for a good time. But hey, don't stress too much about it, it's not like they're twins separated at birth or anything.
