South Africa is a developing country on the world's poorest continent, Africa. South Africa is faced with many challenges that are being dealt with by the government and foreign aid. South Africa is also facing leadership problems. Some of these include:

• HIV and AIDS

• Poor rural infrastructure
• Power (electricity) shortage
• TB

South Africa has taken major steps towards removing these problems. It is currently fighting to survive among the current world recession and its own political turmoil. Its markets however have proven to be the strongest in Africa.

The majority of these problems affect the youth of South Africa. The youth of South Africa are the solution to South Africa's problems. Until we realise that we need to take an active role in civil society and develop our vision for our respective country, Africa will remain a third world country.
