Some differences between the book and the film of Banner in the Sky is, in the film there was a girl that Rudi Matt loved but in the book there was no girl. In the film, the girl took some of Teo Zurbriggen's lines. In the movie, Franz Lerner (Rudi's Uncle) seemed to be softer. He seemed like he let things go easier with little argument. For example, when Captain Winter asked Franz Lerner to have Rudi Matt be their porter for their climb to the Wunderhorn, Franz argued a bit but let it go easily.
