Knives are not illegal. The problem with bringing a knife to school is that it violates a school rule, not that it violates the law. The police will not bring charges against a minor for bringing a knife to school, but the school administration may inflict some penalty, which could even be expulsion from school, if they have a zero tolerance rule.
Yes, but only because they are a minor not because you are going to get in trouble or have charges against you.
can the police take a minor out of class with out parent permission ?
Yes. It would be child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, serving alcohol to a minor and any number of charges, depending on the state, province or country in question.
It's not the school that define you as a minor, it's your age. If you are below 18 you are a minor.
They would be charged with assault. There is no difference in the laws for juvenile or adult offenders - - only in how they are treated in court.
A parent can press charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Ohio. Criminal charges can be filed for the crime, and civil charges can be done for any injuries that may have occurred to the minor child.
The police can do something but you may have to contact them again and tell them you would like to press charges. The school discipline has nothing to do with police discipline. I did not know schools have a special police force what a stupid question.
no :)
it is legal to carry a knife there but not switchblade or butterfly.
It depends on whether they are state or federal charges, and the quantity involved.
You cannot drop charges. The state presses and/or drops criminal charges.
Just go to the police and let them deal with it.

The penalty depends upon the laws of the state,it also depends on the type of weapon that was carried..(gun,knife ect)....The Penalty for a juvinile crime differs from the penalty for an adult crime... In some states for a minor the possession of a knife on school property is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by a $500 fine and/or up to 180 Days in a juvinile detention center... In some states for a minor the possession of knife on school property can be a felony charge punishable by upto a $5,000 fine and/or up to 3 years in a juvinile detention center.. In all 50 states a minor in possesion of a gun on school property is a felony charge punishable by a fine upto $10,000 and/or 5 years in a juvinile detention center... And In some states depending on the circumstances if the minor is within 6 months of their 18th birthday they could be charged as an adult...
