What are the advantages and disadvantages of the domestic system?

advantages of domestic system is that you can work at your own pace. Children were better treated at home than in factories. As the woman of the family you could be there looking after your children. Conditions were much better because you could open the window for ventilation and you could use the window for light. They could eat meals when needed. Also as people worked for themselves they took pride in what they did. Disadvantages of domestic system is that it was very difficult in controlling the workers and get them to produce work on time, especially at harvest because you need to take time out for farming (feed family/sell and make money). another disadvantage ALSO is that as the population grew bigger there wasnt enough food and living things to go around! i learnt in school! XD! ; D
